Visually, the world is a constantly swirling palette of changing seasons, bright lights and low lights, tearing down and building up.
Good thing Lake Superior College is lucky enough to have talented student photographers to capture some of it on film. In fact, because of their photographic abilities, two LSC students were named “Finalists” in Nikon and Photographer Forum’s 33rd Annual High School and College Photography Contest.
Zach Kerola‘s haunting photo of an outdoor performance by musical group “Trampled by Turtles” outdoor concert and Lester Hunt‘s stunning photo of fog over Lake Superior with a red sky canvas won them the honors.
Their status as finalists also earned Kerola and Hunt spot in the hardcover book, “Best of College & High School Photography 2013.”
Their instructor, Kat Ramsland, who encourages her students to enter this particuluar contest, couldn’t be prouder.
“Every time, LSC students amaze me,” said Ramsland. “This is a very competitive contest, and having multiple winners says a lot about Lester, Zach and all of my students. Just outstanding work, especially by those two.”
